HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions 1994 (27) RESOLUTION APPROVING DOUBLE CELLING IN THE COUNTY JAIL Resolution No. 7 (q 41) St. Croix County, Wisconsin WHEREAS, Wisconsin Administrative Code Chapter DOC 350 (sec. 350.07) allows the use of jail cells for double occupancy if certain conditions are met; and WHEREAS, one of the conditions is that the county board and sheriff determine jointly the adequate staffing needs, including support staff and service, that are required to ensure the health, safety and security of the jail staff and inmates when using jail cells for double occupancy; and WHEREAS, the Public Protection Committee and Sheriff Bader have determined the adequate staffing needs as evidenced by the letter of understanding signed by the Sheriff and the Committee and dated November 1, 1994; and WHEREAS, the Personnel Committee has approved the limited term employee positions, the increase to 40 hours of the present 3/4 time clerk position in the Sheriff's Department and recommends establishment of the full-time shift supervisor position in a separate resolution; THEREFORE, be it resolved by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors that the determination of adequate staffing needs is hereby approved and adopted; FURTHER, be it resolved that St. Croix Count Jail cells may be used for double occupancy.
