REGARDING OUT -OF -STATE TRAVEL
Resolution No. 3 (a)
St. Croix County, Wisconsin
WHEREAS, County Board of Supervisor's Rule 4.C.3.b. -e. prescribes a procedure
for approval of out -of -state travel for supervisors and County employees; and
WHEREAS, the General Services Committee recommends elimination of the
requirement that out -of -state travel already approved by the Board as an item of a
department's budget be approved again just prior to the trip;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors
that Rule 4.C.3.b. is hereby repealed and recreated to read:
b. Out -of -State Travel. (1) Supervisors and County employees may
travel out -of -state if: 1) the travel is an item in a department's budget
approved by the Board of Supervisors or; 2) if not in a department's budget,
the Board of Supervisors gives prior approval for the travel.
(2) The County Clerk may advance 75% of the estimated expense for
meals, lodging, mileage and /or non - airfare commercial carriers on authorized
out -of -state travel, if the advance is approved by the Administrative
Coordinator.
