ASSOCIATION TO OBTAIN AGREEMENTS FOR DISCOUNT
LODGING RATES FOR COUNTIES

St. Croix County, Wisconsin
WHEREAS, it is a benefit to the County when County supervisors, officers and
employees attend seminars and conventions relating to county government; and
WHEREAS, it would appear that it is a benefit to hotels and motels to rent rooms
at a discount to county representatives to encourage attendance and increase room rentals;
and
WHEREAS, the County has received information that the State of Wisconsin has
obtained agreements with hotels and motels which establish special rates for its officers and
employees.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors
that the Wisconsin Counties Association vigorously attempt to obtain agreements with
appropriate hotels and motels throughout Wisconsin for discount room rates for county
supervisors, officers and employees.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk is directed to mail a copy of
this resolution to the Wisconsin Counties Association.
