PRIORITY WATERSHED PROGRAM
RESOLUTION NO. /4 (ca)
ST. CROIX COUNTY, WISCONSIN
WHEREAS, the conservation of the soil and water resource is
important to public well- being; and
WHEREAS, the State of Wisconsin has developed the Priority
Watershed Program to focus effort and resources on water quality
improvement in the watersheds of greatest need; and
WHEREAS, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources will
determine Priority Watersheds for funding in 1992; and
WHEREAS, watershed projects that are partially or completely
in St. Croix County may be considered for selection in 1992; and
WHEREAS, the South Fork of the Hay River watershed extends
into St. Croix County; and
WHEREAS, Dunn County is seeking the selection of the Hay River
watershed as a Priority Watershed Project in 1992;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the St. Croix County
Board of Supervisors declares it's support of the Priority
Watershed Program and will cooperate on any Priority Watershed
Projects selected for funding in 1992, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that St. Croix County support the
selection of the South Fork of the Hay River watershed as a
Priority Watershed Project in 1992.
