St. Croix County, Wisconsin
WHEREAS, an ad hoc committee formed to study the salaries of the elected officials
of St. Croix County has fulfilled its obligation and made its recommendations to the Finance
Committee; and
WHEREAS, the Finance Committee is recommending the following salary increases,
effective January 1, 1993:
County Clerk 4%
County Treasurer 4%
County Sheriff 4%
Register of Deeds 4%
Clerk of Court 6%
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors
that the above increases are approved as listed, effective January 1, 1992.

AMENDMENT TO RESOLUTION ADOPTING SALARIES
FOR ELECTED OFFICIALS FOR 1992 -1993
The Public Protection Committee recommends amending the above - referenced
resolution to provide that the County Sheriff be paid $46,000 in 1993 and 1994.
AMENDMENT FOR CONSIDERATION
Salaries of Elected Officials for the 1993 -1994 Term of Office
For the term of office in 1993, the positions of County Clerk,
County Treasurer, and Register of Deeds would start with a base
wage rate of $29,870 (same as their '92 rate) and the position of
Clerk of Court would start at a base rate of $31,000. Added to
that base rate for 1993 would be the percentage of the Consumer
Price Index (CPI) which was in effect for May, 1992 as recorded
by the U. S. Department of Labor in the Job Service publication,
"Employment Review ". Used for the calculation would be the CPI -U
for the United States. The May, 1992 percentage would be applied
to the 1993 base wages, effective the first day of the_new term
in 1993. As of January 1, 1994, the CPI -U, United States per-
centage recorded in May of 1993 would be applied to the 1993 base
wage, resulting in the 1994 salary level for the positions of
County Clerk, County Treasurer, Register of Deeds, and Clerk of
Court.
