AND PERMANENTLY DESIGNATING THE COUNTY PLANNING DEPARTMENT AS
THE ST. CROIX COUNTY LAND INFORMATION OFFICE

ST. CROIX COUNTY, WISCONSIN
WHEREAS, 1989 Wisconsin Acts 31 and 339 established the Wisconsin Land
Information Program, authorized County Land Information Offices and Plans, and
established local and state funding for land records modernization; and
WHEREAS, 1989 Wisconsin Act 339 requires that counties designate a County Land
Information Office and adopt a County Land Information Plan to continue to be eligible
to use the local funding or apply for state grants -in -aid; and
WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors, by Resolution #12(90),
designated the County Planning Department as the interim County Land Information
Office for the purposes of developing a County Land Information Plan and retaining local
land records funds; and
WHEREAS, the County Planning Department has prepared a County Land Information
Plan with the input of a County Land Information Committee, local governments, potential
land information users, and surrounding counties, that is consistent with state standards;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors,
meeting in regular session, hereby adopts the St. Croix County Land Information Plan,
pursuant to s.59.88(3)(b), Wisconsin Statutes, and requests approval of said plan by the
Wisconsin Land Information Board; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the County Planning Department be permanently
designated as the St. Croix County Land Information Office.
