HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 1992 (32) RESOLUTION REVOKING RESOLUTION 19(90) REQUIRING A TWO- THIRDS VOTE TO APPROVE NEW FULL -TIME POSITIONS Resolution No. St. Croix County, Wisconsin WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors (Board) adopted Resolution 19(90) on August 14, 1990 requiring a two- thirds majority vote of the Board to approve new full -time positions; and WHEREAS, the Attorney General for the State of Wisconsin issued an opinion on September 10, 1991 in which he indicated that counties may not impose a voting requirement in excess of a majority of the Board members present to approve a new or additional position; and WHEREAS, the Administration committee recommends compliance with the Attorney General's opinion; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors that Resolution No. 19(90) be and is hereby revoked; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County rules and bylaws be amended by deleting from Art.
