St. Croix County, Wisconsin
WHEREAS, under former state law, 3 jury commissioners had to be appointed in
each county to perform the primary duty of preparing jury lists to be used by the court
system for the selection of individual jurors; and
WHEREAS, current law now allows counties the option of appointing jury
commissioners or having their duties performed by the clerk of circuit court; and
WHEREAS, the Finance committee recommends discontinuing the use of jury
commissioners;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors
that the use of jury commissioners be and is hereby discontinued in St. Croix County and
their duties are hereafter to be performed by the clerk of circuit court, effective
immediately.
