AND
ADOPTION OF DISTRICT OVERALL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
RESOLUTION NO. o( 7
ST. CROIX COUNTY, WISCONSIN
WHEREAS, St. Croix County has been an active participant in the West Central
Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission; and
WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors currently participates in the
economic development district activities of the West Central Wisconsin Regional Planning
Commission; and
WHEREAS, St. Croix County is not statistically qualified to complete its own Overall
Economic Development Program (OEDP) for approval by the Economic Development
Administration (EDA) based on current unemployment rates and economic conditions;
and
WHEREAS, the West Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission has
competed a District Overall Economic Development Program Annual Report which is
based, in part, upon input provided by St. Croix County; and
WHEREAS, the West Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission has been
officially designated as an Economic Development District by EDA and is the agency
responsible for preparing an annual OEDP for the District.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the St. Croix County Board of
Supervisors endorses the West Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission's
Overall Economic Development Program Annual Report 1992 -1993 as it reflects current
conditions and needs for St. Croix County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors
supports the West Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission's application to the
Economic Development Administration for planning funds; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors does
not support public funding for private speculative buildings.
