WHEREAS, included in the proposed 1992 Medical Examiner's budget was a $4,000
revenue item based on a $50.00 fee to be charged for viewing a body prior to cremation,
and estimating 80 viewings; and
WHEREAS, this item was approved by the Board of Supervisors as part of the 1992
County budget on October 22, 1991; and
WHEREAS, a resolution creating this fee was denied by the Board of Supervisors
on June 11, 1991.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors
that the $4,000 revenue item shown in the Medical Examiner's budget be and is hereby
removed from that budget and, hence, the 1992 County budget;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Public Protection Committee, which
oversees the Medical Examiner's budget, shall be responsible for reducing expenditures in
any of the budgets it oversees by $4,000 to balance the County budget;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk publish this budget change
as a Class I notice, pursuant to sec. 65.90(5), Wisconsin Statutes.
