RESOLUTION IMPOSING MORATORIUM a w
ON SALE OF HUMAN SERVICES AND NURSING HOME PROPERTIES C '-- / / 59°-
(1982 AND 1974 BUILDINGS) v
Whereas, efforts by the Ad Hoc Committee to market the Human
Services and Nursing Home properties have been unsuccessful to
date; and
Whereas, efforts to sell a portion of the Health Center (1982
Building) date back to 1988, placing stress on residents, staff and
board members and negatively effecting the Nursing Home census; and
Whereas, the Nursing Home provides care not found in area private
homes, and does so with increased concern for efficiency; and
Whereas, efforts to sell the Nursing Home reduces its image as a
reliable provider of care.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the St. Croix Board of
Supervisors that effective January 1, 1992, a 3 year moratorium
be placed on the sale of the Human Services and Nursing Home
properties.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT this moratorium is made with a
commitment from the Human Services Board and its administration to
continue to run high quality programs at minimal cost to St. Croix
County.
