1 RESOLUTION APPROVING GRANT APPLICATION FOR THE
2 SNOWMOBILE TRAIL AIDS PROGRAM

4 WHEREAS, the county snowmobile trail system is extensive and of high quality
5 attracting large numbers of users, and
6
7 WHEREAS, St. Croix County is eligible for annual funding of snowmobile trail
8 maintenance at the rate of $250 per mile, and
9
10 WHEREAS, St. Croix County with cooperating snowmobile clubs currently maintains
11 216.6 miles of state funded snowmobile trails.

13 NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the St. Croix County Board of
14 Supervisors approves the application to the Snowmobile Trail Aids Program for the St. Croix
15 County snowmobile trail system.

17 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the Park Site Manager or the Parks Director is authorized
18 to submit an application and shall comply with state rules for programs, may perform force
19 account work, and shall comply with obligations under the grant.

Explanation:
Annually the Parks Department applies for the Snowmobile Trail Aids Program. The grant revenues
received equals the expenses incurred. This was budgeted as a $54,150 revenue and a $54,150 expense
in the 2012 budget. There is NO fiscal impact to the Parks Department or St. Croix County.
