RESOLUTION APPROVING APPLICATION FOR A 2013 COUNTY
_ i CONSERVATION AIDS GRANT
1 WHEREAS, pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes sec. 23.09 (12), the Wisconsin Department of
2 Natural Resources (DNR) may provide grants to counties for fish management and game management
3 projects on the condition that the state's share does not exceed one-half of the actual cost of a project, up
4 to $1988.00; and

6 WHEREAS, these grants are provided by the DNR under Wisconsin Administrative Code sec.
7 NR 50.14 as County Conservation Aids Program grants; and
8
9 WHEREAS, annually St. Croix County has participated in this grant program; and
10
11 WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Land and Water Conservation Department, the St. Croix
12 County Sportsman's Alliance and the DNR desire to use a County Conservation Aids Program grant in
13 2013 to construct a parking lot on WDNR property to provide fishing access to the Kinnickinnic River in
14 the SE 1/4 , NE 1/4 of Section 21, T28N - R18W, Town of Kinnickinnic; and

16 WHEREAS, the cost to construct the parking lot is estimated to be $3976.00; and
17
18 WHEREAS, if the cost to construct the parking lot exceeds $3976.00, the St. Croix County
19 Sportsman's Alliance will pay for the balance; and
20
21 WHEREAS, the parking lot is identified, the cost of construction of $3976.00 is shown as an
22 expense and the grant of $1988.00 is shown as a revenue in the 2013 Land and Water Conservation
23 Department budget; and

25 WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Land and Water Conservation Department requests
26 authorization to apply for a County Conservation Aids Program grant in the amount of $1988 to pay for
27 one-half of the cost to construct the parking lot.

29 THEREFORE, be it resolved by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors that the Director of
30 the Land and Water Conservation Department is authorized to apply for a grant under the County
31 Conservation Aids Program in the amount of $1988.00 to pay one-half of the cost of constructing a
32 parking lot in SE 1/4 , NE '/4 of Section 21, T28N - R18W, Town of Kinnickinnic.

34 FURTHER, be it resolved that St. Croix County shall comply with State rules for the County
35 Conservation Aids Program and all conditions of the grant, and understands it may perform force account
36 work.
