Quinn, A. Schumaker Hammond, WI 54015 This investigation was requested by the county to assist in verification of soil conditions that are possibly marginal for a mound system installation. One soil pit reviewed was evaluated in the area described on CST Schumakel's report for Lot 46 dated 12/5/2002. Soil conditions were deemed suitable for a mound system to be installed. The entire area was not checked however, and the CST is responsible for identifying similar soils in an area large enough to properly site a mound system. Frost conditions prevented a detailed evaluation of all soil morphological features. However, the A- horizon and first few inches of subsoil were unfrozen. Based on my observations in this soil pit there was at least 4-inches of subsoil material free of redox features and thus depth conditions appear suitable for mound system installation.
