BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MEETING AND HEARING MINUTES
November 29, 2012
CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Clarence (Buck) Malick at
9:30 a.m.
ROLL CALL - Members Present: Joe Hurtgen, Sue Nelson, David Peterson and
Jerry McAllister.
STAFF PRESENT: Ellen Denzer, Director; Kevin Grabau, Code Administrator; Alex
Blackburn, Zoning Specialist; Tammy Wittmer, Land and Water Conservation Department and
Bonita Clum, Recorder.
Staff confirmed to the Board that this was a properly noticed meeting.
ACTION ON PREVIOUS MINUTES: Motion by Peterson, 2nd by Nelson approving the minutes
of October 25, 2012. Motion carried.
NEW BUSINESS: John Stoffel an Air Quality Specialist from the Wisconsin DNR, and Wendy
Kramer, the Public Health Coordinator for St Croix County, presented information on air quality
related to nonmetallic mining. The meeting was recorded and is on file in the Planning and
Zoning Department.
Blackburn distributed two handouts regarding air quality control.
DATE OF NEXT MEETING: The date of the next meeting is set for Thursday, December 27,
2012, at 8:30 a.m. in the County Board Room of the Government Center in Hudson.
The January meeting will be on Thursday, January 31, 2013, at 8:30 a.m. in the County Board
Room of the Government Center in Hudson.
Chair Malick adjourned the meeting at 12:00 p.m.
