The St. Croix County Board of Adjustment conducted a public
hearing on April 28, 1988, to consider the request of Cemstone
Ready-Mix Inc. for a special exception use. Article: 17.15 (6)
(g) Mining of lime rock for concrete; 17.15 (6) (n) Temporary
Portabel Readymix Operation to Mix Concrete, ST. CROIX COUNTY
ZONING ORDINANCE.
The St. Croix County Board of Adjustment conducted an on-
site inspection of the site in question.
After inspection, the St. Croix County Board of Adjustment
entered an executive session to discuss the request.
After returning to open session, the following decision was
rendered: Motion by Supervisor Kinney to approve mining of
aggregate with the following conditions: 1) Roads be maintained
and the responsibility of the applicant; 2) Dust and noise be
controlled so as to not create a nuisance to nearby residences;
3) Two hundred foot setbacks be maintained with pine seedlings
planted an maintained on the westerly boundary (100 foot wide
planting); 4) Portable Readymix plant not permitted. Motion
seconded by Supervisor Bradley. Vote to approve said motion:
Kinney, yes; Bradley, yes; Meinke, yes. Motion carried.
All variances approved must be acted on or constructed
within one (1) year from date of approval or they shall be null
and void.
