RESOLUTION SUPPORTING DEVELOPMENT OF A STATE
ST. CRO, [1NTY HIGHWAY MAINTENANCE MEMORANDUM OF
UNDERSTANDING
WHEREAS; the Wisconsin Secretary of Transportation has asked the Wisconsin
Department of Transportation (WisDOT), Wisconsin Transportation Builders Association
(WTBA) and the Wisconsin County Highway Association (WCHA) to develop a MOU that will
address State Highway maintenance issues and other matters of mutual interest; and
3 WHEREAS; WisDOT, WTBA, and WCHA have a mutual interest to define WisDOT
4 highway maintenance terms and send a unified voice to the Governor and State Legislators; and
5 WHEREAS, the Wisconsin Secretary of Transportation is looking toward performance of
6 State highway work on a regional basis, without regard to county boundaries; and
7 WHEREAS, St. Croix County supports and recognizes efforts that improve State and
8 local highway systems and maintenance.
9 THEREFORE, be it resolved that the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors supports
10 and encourages the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) being developed between the
11 transportation groups named above that includes a unified State highway system approach and
12 enhances various State transportation efficiencies.
13 FURTHER, be it resolved that the St. Croix County Clerk forward copies of this resolution to
14 WisDOT, Wisconsin Counties Association, League of Municipalities, and Wisconsin Towns Association.
