Resolution No. 4 (2013)
RESOLUTION TO PROMOTE ENHANCED
ST. CRO' VNTY INTERGOVERNMENTAL EFFORTS AND BEST USE OF
TAXPAYER RESOURCES
WHEREAS; the State Legislature established the Transportation Finance and Policy
Commission to examine issues related to the future of transportation finance in Wisconsin; and
identify how the State can share its transportation revenues with local governments cost-
effectively; and
3 WHEREAS, the Wisconsin Secretary of Transportation is looking toward performance of
4 State highway work on a regional basis, without regard to county boundaries; and
5 WHEREAS, St. Croix County supports and recognizes the advancement of improved
6 State and local highway system improvements and system maintenance.
7 THEREFORE, be it resolved that the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors supports
8 and encourages continued efforts by the Transportation Finance and Policy Commission,
9 WisDOT and local associations to enhance and promote:
10 1. Improved intergovernmental utilization of taxpayer resources.
11 2. Streamline and make the best use of local funding programs.
12 3. Streamline and make the best use of federal aid programs and funding.
13 FURTHER, be it resolved that the St. Croix County Clerk forward copies of this resolution to
14 WisDOT, Wisconsin Counties Association, League of Municipalities, and Wisconsin Towns Association.
