General ms These are massive soils with the need for extremely careful installation techniques of the system being used by the
and recommmendaendations. installing contractor. My recommendation would also be to consider a pressurized system, where the effluent can
be dosed over the entire distribution area. Not required, but recommended.
This s' low grade conventional U stem.

POND VIEW MEADOWS III - Soil Report Review Summary 1/29/03
Most of Tom's reports contain warnings about massive soil conditions and many have
notations about banding in lowest horizon. See attached e-mail from Leroy regarding
concerns about in-ground systems in banded soils.
Lots 44 & 45, adjacent to Pondview II, have soil reports that conflict with Adam
Schumaker's. Where Tom was finding massive sandy loams, Adam reported sandy loam
with 2msbk structure or found medium sands to >100". We will need to evaluate soils on
Pondview II (possibly during installations) to determine which reports are more accurate
out there.
On soil survey page 36, it appears more likely to find Sattre (ShB) loams with sandier
subsoils in Pondview II, where Pondview III is sitting over more Jewett (JeB) silt loam
whose series description includes massive sandy loams (37 - 60") with bands of loamy
sand and loam till. This might account for the difference in the subdivisions' soil reports.
