CROIX COUNTY ZONING ORDI- ) August 26, 1980 NANCE. Location: Ek of the ) SE4, Section 1, T30N, R17W, ) Town of Erin Prairie. ) The St. Croix County Board of Adjustment conducted a public hearing on August 26, 1980, to consider the request of Robert Muller for a special exception use, Article 2.6F13, Airports/Airstrips, ST. CROIX COUNTY ZONING ORDINANCE. The St. Croix County Bbard of Adjustment conducted an on-site inspection of the site in question. After inspection, the St. Croix County Board of Adjustment entered an Executive Session to discuss the request. After returning to open session the following decision was rendered: Motion by Supervisor Handlos to deny the request for a private , airstrip. Seconded'by Supervisor Meinke. Motion carried. Vote to deny: Handlos, yes Meinke, yes Pierson, yes, 4 The reason for denial is that the neighbors on both ends of the air- trip object, the 800 foot setback from the powerline would not give the airstrip the required 2,000 foot runway and there are airstrips and air- ports within a 15 mile radius that Muller can use. r. r'l Lawrence Handlos, Secretary St. Croix County Board of Adjustment I LH:HCB:sl Robert Muller Erin Prairie Town Clerk APPEAL TO BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT TO: Harold Barber, Administrator St. Croix County Zoning Office Hammond, Wisconsin 54015 Please take notice that Robert Muller is appealing the decision of the Board of Adjustment dated August 26, 1980, denying the said Robert Muller his request for a private airstrip. The appeal is based on the facts that Mr. Muller's request for special exception use as to airstrip was refused by the Board of Adjustment: without any substantiated testimony by the objecting land owners; that the conclusion that requirements as to the 2000 foot runway could not be met is in error; that the board arbitrarily concluded that other airstrips would suffice for his purpose. Mr. Muller respectfully requests that a hearing be set for the purpose of rehearing his application. Dated this 7th day of October, 1980. hn G. Nestingen Attorney for Robert Muller P.O.
