The St. Croix County Board of Adjustment conducted a public hearing
on July. 16,1982, to consider the request of Mr. Steven Breault for
a variance to Article 8.4 B 4 b, Setback from a town road, ST. CROIX
COUNTY ZONING ORDINANCE.
The St. Croix County Board of Adjustment conducted an on-site
inspection of the site in question:
After inspection, the St. Croix County Board of Adjustment entered
an Executive Session to discuss the request.
After returning to open session the following decision was ren-
dered.
Motion by Supervisor George to approve the setback of fifty (50)
feet from the centerline of a town road. Seconded by Supervisor Stephens.
Motion carried. Vote to approve:

July 16, 1982
10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Meeting called to order by Chairman Meinke at 10:00 a.m. in
the County Board Room, Courthouse, Hudson. All members present.
Motion by Supervisor George to approve the minutes as mailed.
Seconded by Supervisor Stephens. Motion carried.
Zoning Administrator read notice of Hearing as published in
the county and local newspapers.

Mr. Robert Moss presented the request for Duffek Sand & Gravel
for a teymporary gravel pit on the Russell Flankerick property. The
top soil will be stripped off and replaced after the sand is removed.
The gravel is being used in the rebuilding of STH 64.
Questions by members of the Board.
Mr. Richard Beer presented his request to construct an addition
to the vacant school building he owns. The addition will be eighty-
five feet (85) from the centerline of CTH "A". The building is closer
to the highway due to reconstruction.
Questions by Board Members:
Mr. Darrel Moe presented his request to set up a junk yard in
the Agriculture Residential District. The junkyard will be screened
from the road and adjoining.landowners.
Mr. Moe explained his reasons for the request.
Mr. Gary Moe explained that he will be in partnership with his
brother.
Questions from Members of the Board:
Mr. Steven Breault presented his request to build a cottage
that would be approximately fifty (50) feet from the centerline of
a township road. He explained that the property was given to him
by his grandfather. The property is five (5) acres with about four
(4) acres under water of Bushnell Lake. The cottage will be seventy-
five (75) feet from the water.
Questions by Members of the Board:
Mr. Robert Maitrejean presented his request to build a house
that would be one hundred and ten (110) feet from the centerline of
CTH "C" and seventy-five (75) feet from the Apple River. He explained
that due to the shape of the lot, he could not meet all the setbacks.
Questions by Members of the Board.
Mr. Francis Klatt talked to the Board about building a liquid
manure holding tank that would be approximately ninety-three (93)
feet from the centerline of a T'6*6"ot'7Em'#&_A4d road. The Board in-
formed Mr. Klatt that he would have to go through the regular Board
of Adjustment procedures.
Meeting recessed in order that inspections could be made on pro-
perties in question.
Board entered into executive session and returned to open
session to render decisions.
1. Duffek Sand & Gravel. A motion by Supervisor George to
approve the request. Seconded by Supervisor Stephens.
Motion carried. Vote to Approve: George, yes; Stephens,
yes; Meinke, yes.
2. Richard Beer: Motion by Supervisor George to approve the
eighty-five (85) foot setback from CTH "A". Seconded by
Supervisor Stephens. Motion carried. Vote to Approve:
George, yes; Stephens, yes; Meinke, yes.
3. Richard Power: Motion by Supervisor George to approve the
request for a ninty-five (95) foot setback from a town
road. Seconded by Supervisor Stephens. Motion carried.
Vote to Approve: George, yes; Stephens, yes; Meinke, yes.
4. Steven Beault: Motion by Supervisor George to approve the
setback of fifty (50) feet from the centerline of a town
road. Seconded by Supervisor Stephens. Motion carried.
Vote to Approve: George, yes; Stephens, yes; Meinke, yes.
5. Darrel Moe: Motion by Supervisor George to approve having a
junkyard on his property. Conditions for approval are that
the property is to be properly screened from road and ad-
joining properties with a solid fence or trees. This per-
mit will be revoked if all junkyard requirements are not met
within one (1) year from this date of approval. Seconded
by Supervisor Stephens. Motion carried. Vote to Approve:
George, yes; Stephens, yes; Meinke, yes.
6. Robert Maitrejean: Motion by Supervisor George to approve the
request to construct a house that would be one hundred and
ten (110) feet from the centerline of CTH "C" and seventy-
five (75) feet from the high water of the Apple River. Se-
conded by Supervisor Stephens. Motion carried. Vote to
Approve: George, yes; Stephens, yes; Meinke, yes.
Next meeting and hearing date is August 24, 1982 at 10:00 a.m.
Motion by Supervisor Stephens to adjourn. Seconded by Supervisor
George. Motion carried. Hearing and meeting adjourned at 2:45 p.m.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
The St. Croix Zoning Office has granted permission for the
cabin for Steve Breault to be placed on the property located
in the SWk SWk, Section 2, T29N-R17W in Hammond Township.
When the sanitary permits have been issued, the structure
can be set fifty (50) feet from the centerline of the
town road or seventy-five (75) feet from the high water
mark.
