RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENT TO TOWN OF
HUDSON ZONING ORDINANCE BETHEL LUTHERAN
CHURCH SECTION 29 T29N R19W
1 WHEREAS, On February 5, 2013 the Town of Hudson adopted a zoning ordinance
2 amendment based on the Town of Hudson Ordinance Chapter 105 Article VIII; and

4 WHEREAS, Bethel Lutheran Church located at 504 Frontage Road, Hudson WI, owns a
5 parcel of land in the SW'/4 of the SW'/4 of Section 28, and the SE'/4 of the SE'/4 of Section 29
6 Town 29 N, Range 19 W, Town of Hudson that is zoned both Agricultural/Residential and
7 Residential; and

9 WHEREAS, Bethel Lutheran Church, to provide continuity on their parcel and in the
10 zoning district, petitioned the Town of Hudson to rezone the easterly portion of their existing
11 parcel consisting of 11.709 acres and described as part of the SW 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of Section 28
12 from Agricultural/Residential zoning to Residential zoning; and
13
14 WHEREAS, the Town of Hudson Plan Commission met on November 19, 2012, and
15 recommended approval of the rezoning petition for Bethel Lutheran Church to rezone 11.709
16 acres from Agricultural-Residential to Residential; and
17
18 WHEREAS, following due advertisement announcing the public hearing as required by
19 law, the Town of Hudson Town Board held said public hearing on February 5, 2013 and
20 approved the rezoning request; and
21
22 WHEREAS, Section 60.62(3), Wisconsin Statutes states that in counties having a county
23 zoning ordinance no town zoning ordinance amendment is effective unless approved by the
24 county board; and
25
26 WHEREAS, St Croix County has a zoning ordinance; and
27
28 WHEREAS, the Community Development Committee has reviewed the proposed
29 amendment and recommends approval.

31 THEREFORE, be it resolved by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors that the
32 amendment to the Town of Hudson Zoning Ordinance described above is hereby approved.
