ST. CROIX COUNTY LAND USE ORDINANCE
REZONING LAND FROM AGRICULTURE TO ACS.- RESIDENTIAL

WHEREAS, the Statutes of the State of Wisconsin provide for a Planning and Development
Committee to act in all matters pertaining to county planning and zoning; and
WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Board has established the St. Croix County Planning, Zoning
and Parks Committee; and
WHEREAS, at the request of the County Board this Committee is to review petitions, hold
public hearings, and present its recommendations for rezoning requests to the County Board for
action; and
WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Planning, Zoning and Parks Committee held a public hearing on
the rezoning request of Joseph and Lorraine Gillen on March 29, 2000 in the Deer Park
Community Center in Deer Park, Wisconsin; and
WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Planning, Zoning and Parks Committee having
considered all written information and verbal testimony presented at the hearing, and finding that
the request meets the requirements of Wis. Statute 91.77, voted to approve a rezoning of the
following described land:
A parcel of land located in the SE '/4 of the SE '/4 of Section 33, T31 N, R16W, Town of
Cylon, St. Croix County, Wisconsin, further described as follows:
Commencing at the SE Corner of said Section 33; thence N 89 °50'50 "W 407.91' along the
South line of the SE '/4 to the point of beginning (Bearings referenced to the South line of
the SE '/4 of Section 33, previously recorded as and assumed to be N89 °50'50 "W); thence
continuing N89 °50'50" W 112.79' to the monumented East line of Lot 2 of that Certified
Survey Map filed in Volume 8, Page 3303 in the St. Croix County Register of Deeds;
thence NO2 °03'51 "E 291.50' to a 1" iron pipe found at the NE Corner of said Lot 2 of
Certified Survey Map; thence S70 14'52 "E 121.39';thence S02 °43'51 "W 250.87' to said
South line of the SE '/4 and the point of beginning, containing 30,990 square feet (0.711
acres) more or Tess and being subject to all easements restrictions and covenant of
record.
Based on the following findings:
1) The Town of Cylon recommends approval of the rezoning request.
2) The proposal meets all requirements of the St. Croix County Zoning Ordinance.
3) The request is compliant with §91.77.
4) No objections were voiced to the rezoning request.
5) Ag /Residential land abuts the property; soils on this small parcel are poor and
include class VI soils.
THEREFORE, BE IT NOW ORDAINED by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors, meeting in
regular session, that the parcel is now rezoned from Agriculture to Ag.- Residential.
