ST. CROIX COUNTY LAND USE ORDINANCE
REZONING LAND FROM AGRICULTURE T9 AG. RESIDENTIAL
ORDINANCE NO. cS 6 r7 (
WHEREAS, the Statutes of the State of Wisconsin provide for a Planning and Development
Committee to act in all matters pertaining to county planning and zoning; and
WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Board has established the St. Croix County Planning, Zoning
and Parks Committee; and
WHEREAS, at the request of the County Board this Committee is to review petitions, hold
public hearings, and present its recommendations for rezoning requests to the County Board for
action; and
WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Planning, Zoning and Parks Committee held a public hearing on
the rezoning request of DONALD KEILEN on November 15, 2000 in the St. Croix Government
Center in Hudson, Wisconsin; and
WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Planning, Zoning and Parks Committee having
considered all written information and verbal testimony presented at the hearing, and finding that
the request meets the requirements of Wis. Statute 91.77, voted to approve a rezoning on
November 28, 2000 of the following described land:
A parcel of land located in part of the Southeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of
Section 12, Township 33 North, Range 17 West, Town of Stanton, St. Croix County,
Wisconsin, described as follows:
Beginning at the Southeast comer of said Section 12; thence, on an assumed bearing
along the south line of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 12, North 87 degrees 56
minutes 01 seconds East a distance of 430.28 feet; thence North 00 degrees 00 minutes
00 seconds West a distance of 390.25 feet; thence South 87 degrees 56 minutes 01
seconds East a distance of 430.28 feet to the east line of said Southeast Quarter; thence,
along last said east line, South 00 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds East a distance of
390.25 feet to the point of beginning. Containing 167,809 square feet (3.85 acres).
Subject to 220 Avenue (A Town Road) along the most southerly line and 200 Street (A
Town Road) along the easterly line of the above described property. Also subject to all
easements, restrictions, and covenants of record.
Based on the following findings:
1. The Town of Stanton recommends approval of the request.
2. The Town and County confirmed that the request is compliant with §91.77.
3. The request meets the guidance and intent of the County Plan.
4. The proposed parcel is non - tillable as it is heavily wooded.
5. There was no opposition to this request.
THEREFORE, BE IT NOW ORDAINED by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors, meeting in
regular session, that the parcel is now rezoned from Agriculture to Ag.- Residential.
