RESOLUTION OF PARTICIPATION IN
AND
ADOPTION OF DISTRICT OVERALL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, St. Croix County has been an active participant in the West
Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission; and
WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors currently participates
in the economic development district activities of the West Central Wisconsin
Regional Planning Commission; and
WHEREAS, St. Croix County is not statistically qualified to complete its
own Overall Economic Development Program for approval by the Economic
Development Administration, based on current unemployment rates and economic
conditions; and
WHEREAS, the West Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission has
completed a.District Overall Economic Development Program (OEDP) Annual Report
which is based, in part, upon input provided by St. Croix County; and
WHEREAS, the District OEDP accurately reflects current economic
conditions and the needs of St. Croix County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the St. -Croix County Board of
Supervisors endorses the West Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission's
Overall Economic Development Program Annual Report 1991 -1992.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors
intends to create an economic growth and development plan for St. Croix
County, and to coordinate this effort with the West Central Wisconsin Regional
Planning Commission.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors
supports the West Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission's application
to the_Economic Development Administration for planning funds.
