St. Croix County, Wisconsin
WHEREAS, the County charges waste haulers fees to deliver waste to the St. Croix
Waste -to- Energy facility (tipping fee); and
WHEREAS, an increase in the tipping fees will decrease the general property tax
levy for the balance of waste disposal costs and advance the St. Croix County Waste
Reduction, Reuse and Recycling Program; and
WHEREAS, establishing the tipping fees for 1992 at this time will allow
municipalities and haulers sufficient time to budget for this change; and
WHEREAS, charging a reduced fee for out -of- county waste in the low- waste - volume
months of January, February and December will assist the County in meeting its waste
delivery requirements;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Croix County Board of
Supervisors that the tipping fees charged in 1992 will be as follows:
In- County Waste: $45.00 per ton
Out -of- County Waste: $50.00 per ton, except in the months of January,
February and December it will be $45.00 per ton;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be mailed by the
County Clerk to all municipalities located in the County.
