HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 1991 (26) RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ESTABLISHING AD HOC MARKETING COMMITTEE, HIRING CONSULTANTS and SOLICITING OFFERS IN REGARD to SALE of ST. CROIX HEALTH CENTER COMPLEX Resolution #26 (91) WHEREAS, in Resolution 14 (88) the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors authorized the sale of the Nursing Home facility (1982 building); and WHEREAS, upon further examination the Finance Committee has determined that it would be in the best interests of the County to sell the St. Croix Health Center complex located in the current 1974 and 1982 buildings and associated properties as noted on the attached exhibits; and WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to obtain the services of appraisal and marketing consultants to assist in the disposal of this property; and WHEREAS, the Finance Committee recommends the creation of an ad hoc marketipg committee comprised of three County Board Supervisors from the Human Services Board including the Chairman and two members of the Finance, Building and Bond Committee including the Chairman with the remaining members to be appointed by the Chairman of the County Board of Supervisors. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors that the ad hoc marketing committee is hereby established as described above; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Committee be authorized to hire consultants as it deems necessary, solicit offers, accept proposals and negotiate purchase agreements; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that funding to carry out this project come from the proceeds of the sale or the General Fund of the County should a sale not be consummated; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the most advantageous offer for the properties shall be brought to the County Board for final action; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this be considered as an Emergency Resolution of the County Board at its regularly scheduled meeting of August 13, 1991.
