CENTER FACILITIES IN THE NORTHEAST QUADRANT OF THE "GOODY PROPERTY"
Resolution # ( 4v)
WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors has
purchased 99 acres of land commonly referred to as the "Boody
Property" as a building site for future facilities; and
WHEREAS, St. Croix County has experienced rapid population and
economic growth, which has caused significant expansion of county
services and personnel during the past 25 years; and
WHEREAS, the planning of a new government center must continue
to accommodate the growth needs of adult detention, public safety,
courts and related services and general services to provide
adequate, quality services to the general public; and
WHEREAS, the Government Center /Jail Planning committee has
reviewed information regarding soils, drainage, natural amenities,
utilities, transportation, adjoining land use, expansion, energy
conservation and aesthetics for the 99 acres; and
WHEREAS, the committee members have concluded that to meet
immediate building and space needs, the government center
facilities would best be located in the northeast quadrant of the
site;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the St. Croix County Board
of Supervisors, meeting in regular session, does hereby resolve to
continue planning for the St. Croix County Government Center
facilities and shall focus on development in the northeast quadrant
of the "Boody Property."
