GLENWOOD CITY /FAIRGROUNDS PROPERTY
Resolution No. 1 <9 6')
WHEREAS, on January 9th, 1969 a warranty deed from the City
of Glenwood to St. Croix County was recorded conveying the parcel
of land where the St. Croix County Fair is presently held; and
WHEREAS, the property conveyed was described as: "Outlot No.
56 of the assessor's plat of the City of Glenwood, except that part
on the East side thereof known as the 'Athletic Field'" subject
to reversionary rights in the City of Glenwood in the event the St.
Croix County Fair should be abandoned or should cease to operate;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Glenwood desires a more specific
description of the "Athletic Field "; and
WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Surveyor surveyed a parcel and
created a map showing the parcel known as the "Athletic Field "; and
WHEREAS, the counsel of the City of Glenwood has approved the
parcel as created and described by the St. Croix County Surveyor.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Croix County Board
of Supervisors, meeting in regular session, that a quit claim deed
be issued to the City of Glenwood with the legal description
contained on the attachment which identifies the parcel of land
known as the "Athletic Field" described on the previous deed
recorded on January 9th, 1969:
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Board Chairman and
County Clerk execute said deed.
