RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AMENDING RULES OF THE
BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
REGARDING NEW POSITION CREATION

WHEREAS, approximately 80 percent of the budget to operate
County government can be directly attributed to labor cost;
AND, WHEREAS, controlling the number of new positions will
effect the need for new tax dollars.
AND, WHEREAS, new position requests should have to pass
severe tests before they are added to the County organization.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Croix County Board
of Supervisors, that there shall be no new full -time positions
unless approved by a two - thirds majority vote of the Board
members present.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that any existing positions, at the
time they are vacated, must be reviewed by the County Personnel
Department and the Administrative Coordinator's Department
prior to refilling.
