WHEREAS, the Personnel Committee reviewed requests for 15 new or upgraded
positions having a cost to the County of over $196,000; and
WHEREAS, the Personnel Committee approved five of the requests at a cost of
$6,921 to the County; and
WHEREAS, the positions approved and conditions attached to the positions are:
(1) LAND CONSERVATION SECRETARY, Land Conservation Department
NI additional County dollars for 1991; reallocation of position from part -time Land
Conservation and part-time County Library to full -time Land Conservation. County
Library will not be asking for refill of vacated position; some hours may be picked
up by current part -time staff. Also, full-time Land Conservation Secretary will lessen
the temporary help needed in the Land Conservation Office.
(2) CLERICAL SUPERVISOR, Human Services Department
$1.084 in additional County dollars for 1991; this position will replace the current
Confidential Secretary/Clerical Supervisor whose supervision has been limited to
Nursing Home and 51.42.
(3) BILLING CLERK, Human Services Department
$5.837 in additional County dollars for 1991; this position will be upgraded from its
• current 30 hours per week to 40 hours per week; the additional cost of the position
should be quickly offset by increased billing capabilities.
(4) SOCIAL WORKER -- PROTECTIVE SERVICES, Human Services Department
No additional County dollars for 1990 or 1991; state funding is available immediately
and this position can be established immediately. Should state funding be cut or
eliminated, this position would be eliminated.
(5) SOCIAL WORKER SUPERVISOR -- PROTECTIVE SERVICES, Human Services
Department
NQ additional County dollars for 1990 or 1991; state funding is available immediately
and this position can be established immediately. Should state funding be cut or
eliminated, this position would be eliminated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the positions of Land Conservation
Secretary, Clerical Supervisor and Billing Clerk are hereby created, effective January 1,
1991, and the positions of Social Worker -- Protective Services, and Social Work Supervisor -
- Protective Services, are hereby created, effective immediately, under the conditions shown.
