RESOLUTION # 3 $(9d)
WHEREAS, the below listed checks are all six months old or
older, and have not been presented for payment; and
WHEREAS, the, below listed persons have all been contacted
at their last known place of residence regarding the proposed
cancellation of these checks.
THEREFORE, it is recommended these checks be considered for
cancellation and new checks issued to the person(s) who have
contacted the County Treasurer.

RESOLUTION NO. C"
RESOLUTION DELEGATING AUTHORITY TO DETERMINE DELINQUENT TAX
PAYMENTS CAUSED BY POSTAL DELAYS TO COUNTY TREASURER
WHEREAS, property tax payments are required to be made on or
before a certain date; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to sec. 74.69, Wisconsin Statutes, a payment
which is not timely solely because of a delay or administrative
error of the U.S. Postal Service shall be considered timely; and
WHEREAS, the County Board is granted the authority to
determine whether or not a payment which was not timely was a delay
or administrative error on the part of the U. S. Postal Service and
must act on a request for determination within 30 days of a
request; and
WHEREAS, if a determination is made that an untimely payment
was caused solely because of a delay or administrative error of the
U. S. Postal Service, the County Board shall direct that any
interest or penalty paid because of the untimely payment shall be
reimbursed to the taxpayer by the taxation district or county which
collected the interest or penalty; and
WHEREAS, the County Board may delegate the authority to make
a determination to any committee of the County Board or committee
or official of the County;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Croix County Board
of Supervisors, meeting in regular session, that it does hereby
delegate its authority to make the determination specified herein
and direct reimbursement, if any, to the St. Croix County
Treasurer.
