RESOLUTION REGARDING PROPOSED INTERSTATE 94 INTERCHANGE AT
CARMICHAEL ROAD.

WHEREAS, the County of Board of Supervisors has previously
indicated its support by resolution of the construction of a full
interchange at Carmichael Road and I -94 in the County of St.
Croix because of the continuing growth of Hudson and St. Croix
County near that interchange; and
WHEREAS, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, upon
review, public hearings, and further consultation with the City
of Hudson and County of St. Croix, proposes completion of the
Carmichael Road Interstate 94 Diamond Interchange as previously
scheduled, with the following conditions for the existing
eastbound Exit 2 off -ramp and 14th Street on -ramp:
1. The Exit 2 eastbound off -ramp will be removed.
2. The 14th Street westbound on -ramp will remain for
a period of five years after construction of the
Carmichael Interchange, and, upon expiration of
said five year period will be removed.
and
WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best interest of St. Croix
County to support said construction;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the St. Croix County
Board of Supervisors, meeting in regular session, does hereby
support construction of the proposed Carmichael Road Interstate
94 Diamond Interchange as planned and scheduled, with removal of
the eastbound Exit 2 off -ramp and retention of the 14th Street
westbound on -ramp for a period of 5 years after completion of
construction.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County of St. Croix extends
to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation its appreciation
for considering local input into its decision regarding removal
of the existing ramps.
