OF HERSEY.

WHEREAS, Wis. Stats. Section 236.445 and 66.296 provide a
procedure whereby a county board may vacate and discontinue a
street in a recorded plat in any town in the county; and
WHEREAS, it was recently discovered that a house was built
in the middle of a platted street in the Town of Springfield,
platted originally as Adams Street in the Plat of the Village of
Hersey, now unincorporated; and
WHEREAS, the portion of Adams Street in the Plat of the
Village of Hersey is described as follows:
Part of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest
Quarter Section 28, Township 29, North, Range
15 West, described as follows:
Commencing at the Southwest corner of Block 23
of the Original Plat of the Village of Hersey;
thence West 33 feet; thence North 170 feet;
thence East 33 feet; thence South 170 feet, to
the point of beginning.
WHEREAS, said premises is now the subject of a foreclosure
action filed as 86 CV 558 in Circuit Court for St. Croix County;
and
WHEREAS, the legal description to said premises is an issue
in the said foreclosure action, thus necessitating the vacation
and discontinuance of that portion of Adams Street in the Plat of
the Village of Hersey wherein the premises in question lies; and
WHEREAS, since the public interest now requires it, that
part of the aforementioned street should be vacated and
discontinued by the County Board,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Croix County Board
of Supervisors, meeting in regular session, that the portion of
Adams Street in the Plat of the Village of Hersey described as
follows is hereby vacated and discontinued:
Part of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest
Quarter Section 28, Township 29, North, Range
15 West, described as follows:
Commencing at the Southwest corner of Block 23
of the Original Plat of the Village of Hersey;
thence West 33 feet; thence North 170 feet;
thence East 33•feet; thence South 170 feet, to
the point of beginning.
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall record

this resolution in the Register of Deeds Office for St. Croix
County upon passage of this resolution.
