WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors should
recognize the proud football tradition that has existed in St.
Croix County for years and continues to exist in 1988; and
WHEREAS, during 1988 St. Croix County is proud to have had
three of its schools competing in the WIAA football playoffs;
namely, St. Croix Central, Baldwin - Woodville, and River Falls;
and
WHEREAS, each of these teams met with much success during
the 1988 football season and the football playoffs; and
WHEREAS, on Friday, November 11, 1988 the St. Croix Central
Panthers, coached by Gary Reinick, won the Division V State
Football Championship in Madison, Wis. over Waterloo, by a score
of 28 -14.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Croix County Board
of Supervisors, meeting in regular session, that:
St. Croix County officially congratulates the St. Croix
Central Panthers and Coach Gary Reinick for winning the Division
V State Football Championship for 1988 and for finishing the
season with a great record of 13 wins and 0 losses.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that St. Croix County also recognizes
and congratulates the Baldwin - Woodville Blackhawks and the River
Falls Wildcats for their great football success in 1988:
