RESOLUTION RAISING ROOM AND BOARD FOR PRISONERS OF ST. CROIX
COUNTY JAIL.

WHEREAS, presently the Sheriff of St. Croix County charges
$20 per day for room and board for any prisoner brought to the
St. Croix County Jail by any law enforcement agency from outside
of St. Croix County; and
WHEREAS, the Public Protection Committee deems it necessary
to increase the said charge because of the ever increasing costs
of maintaining prisoners at the St. Croix County Jail; and
WHEREAS, the present rate has not been increased since May
of 1980; and
WHEREAS, the Public Protection Committee recommends to the
County Board that said room and board charge be raised to $35 per
day per prisoner.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Croix County Board
of Supervisors, meeting in regular session, that the room and
board charge for prisoners brought to the St. Croix County Jail
by law enforcement agencies from outside of St. Croix County be
raised from $20 per day to $35 per day per prisoner, effective
upon passage of this Resolution.
