RESOLUTION REGARDING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR PINE LAKE PARK BOAT
LANDING DEVELOPMENT PROJECT.

WHEREAS, Pine Lake is the only lake in central St. Croix
County and provides recreational fishing opportunities for a
large segment of the county citizens; and
WHEREAS, the access road, parking lots and boat ramp at Pine
Lake Park are in dire need of repairs; and
WHEREAS, the projected cost of such repair, to be completed
in the summer of 1988, is $10,000; and
WHEREAS, St. Croix County may be eligible for financial
assistance up to 50% of the cost for said development project
through the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Waterways
Commission; and
WHEREAS, it would be in the best interest of St. Croix
County to request such financial assistance for the purpose of
developing recreational boating facilities as described on an
application for such assistance prepared by the St. Croix County
Director of Parks, Joseph G. Grant; and
WHEREAS, a sum sufficient to complete the development
project will be included in the 1988 St. Croix County Parks
Budget; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Croix County Board
of Supervisors, meeting in regular session, that Joseph G. Grant,
Director of Parks for St. Croix County, is hereby authorized to
act on behalf of St. Croix County in submitting an Application to
the Wisconsin Waterways Commission for financial assistance for
the Pine Lake Park Development Project, sign necessary documents,
and take necessary action to undertake, direct, and complete the
approved project.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that St. Croix County will comply
with state and federal rules for the programs; may perform force
account work; will maintain the completed project in an
attractive, inviting and safe manner; will keep the facilities
open to the general public during reasonable hours consistent
with the type of facility; and will obtain approval in writing
from the. Wisconsin Waterways Commission before any change is made
in the use of the project side.
