HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 1987 (33) RESOLUTION REGARDING 1987 WIAA FOOTBALL PLAYOFFS Resolution # 3 3 07) WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors should recognize the proud football tradition that has existed in St. Croix County for years and continues to exist in 1987; and WHEREAS, during 1987 St. Croix County is proud to have had three of its schools competing in the WIAA football playoffs; namely, Glenwood City, St. Croix Central, and Baldwin - Woodville; and WHEREAS, each of these teams met with much success during the 1987 football season and the football playoffs; and WHEREAS, on Saturday, November 14, 1987, Baldwin - Woodville plays for the Division IV State Football Championship in Madison, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors, meeting in regular session, that: St. Croix County officially recognizes and congratulates the following schools for their great football success in 1987: Glenwood City Hilltoppers, coached by Phil Ottney. St. Croix Central Panthers, coached by Gary Reinick. Baldwin- Woodville Blackhawks, coached by Jack Scholz. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Jack Scholz, retiring after 19 years of coaching the Baldwin - Woodville Blackhawks is hereby congratulated for his tenure as a very successful football coach, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors wishes the Baldwin - Woodville Blackhawks the best of luck in its Division IV Championship game in Madison on November 14, 1987.
