of Supervisors, meeting in regular session, that the St. Croix
County Board of Supervisors supports the establishment of the
Wisconsin Counties Public Health Association as a statewide
county public health organization representing county elected
officials and county public health administrators.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy fo this Resolution be
forwarded as soon as possible by the County Clerk to the
Wisconsin Counties Association, 802 W. Broadway, Suite 308,
Madison, Wisconsin 53713, and Betty Johnson, Secretary, Wisconsin
Counties Public Health Association, 1209 E. 29th St., Marshfield,
Wisconsin, 54494.

RESOLUTION OPPOSING REMOVAL OF TWO I -94 OFF -RAMPS IN THE CITY OF
HUDSON.
Resolution # o4(8e)
WHEREAS, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation is
considering and has held public hearings regarding construction
of a full freeway interchange at Carmichael Road and 1 -94 in St.
Croix County; and
WHEREAS, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation is
considering removing the two off -ramps at the top of the hill
within the City of Hudson as part of an entire re- construction of
an interchange near the City of Hudson along 1 -94; and
WHEREAS, it appears that merchants within the City of Hudson
would be adversely affected by removal of the two existing off
ramps; and
WHEREAS, the Hudson City Council has strongly opposed such
removal and has requested the St. Croix County Highway Committee
to also oppose such removal.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the St. Croix County
Board of Supervisors, meeting in regular session, strongly
opposes the removal of the two off -ramps located near the top of
the hill in the City of Hudson along 1 -94 because of the adverse
affect it would have on merchants within the City of Hudson.
BE I T FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board does support the
construction of a full interchange at Carmichael Road and 1 -94
because of the continuing growth of Hudson and St. Croix County
near that interchange.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk for St. Croix
County be and is hereby instructed to immediately forward certi-
fied copies of this Resolution to Tom Clark, District Director of
the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, 718 W. Clairemont
Avenue, Eau Claire, Wisconsin 54701; the Secretary of the
Wisconsin Department of Transportation, 4802 Sheboygan Avenue,
Madison, Wisconsin; Mary Lou Hal len, Mayor for the City of
Hudson; and all area legislators.
