RESOLUTION AMENDING THE ST. CROIX COUNTY AG LAND PRESERVATION PLAN
WHEREAS, the Wisconsin Legislature adopted the Farmland
Preservation Act as an incentive for property owners to preserve
agricultural land, and
WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors
directed the the St. Croix County Comprehensive Planning, Zoning
and Parks Committee and the Ag Land Planning Advisory Committee to
prepare an Ag Land Preservation Plan for St. Croix County, and
WHEREAS, all the towns represented in the plan have
helped prepare and reviewed the town plans presented in the
composite county plan; and
WHEREAS, the Plan has facilitated Farmland Preservation
for the benefit of the citizens and economy of St. Croix County;
and
WHEREAS, the Plan has enabled interested and qualified
farmers to take advantage of the state's tax rebate program through
individual contract, and
WHEREAS, a parcel of land in Sections 14 and 23, Town of
Hudson, owned by Donalda Speers was inadvertently omitted from the
Plan,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Croix County
Board of Supervisors meeting in regular session that they amend the
St. Croix County Ag Land Preservation Plan by adding the parcel of
land described as the SW 1/4 Section .14 and the NW 1/4 of Section
23 Town of Hudson owned by Donalda Speers be added to the Plan.
Passed and Adopted this 12th day of August, 1986.
