RESOLUTION REGARDING RESOURCE RECOVERY FACILITY

WHEREAS, St. Croix County desires to promote the policy of
the State of Wisconsin to find alternatives to the disposal of
solid waste by sanitary landfilling as stated in Section 144.792,
Wisconsin Statutes; and
WHEREAS, St. Croix County authorized negotiations with
qualified vendors for contracts to dispose of the County's solid
waste through resource recovery facilities; and
WHEREAS, two proposed contracts were negotiated with
qualified vendors, American Resource Recovery of Waukesha,
Wisconsin and Northern States. Power of Minneapolis, Minnesota,
for consideration by the County Board; and
WHEREAS, the County Board has determined that the American
Resource Recovery contract best meets the goals of St. Croix
County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Croix County Board
of Supervisors, meeting in regular session, that the County Board
Chairman and County Clerk be authorized and directed to execute
the contract submitted by American Resource Recovery.
