WHEREAS, St. Croix County offices are presently open to the
public Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; and
WHEREAS, Wisconsin Statutes Section 59.14 permits the County
Board to direct that elective or appointive county officials
shall keep their offices open during the usual business hours of
any day; and
WHEREAS, it appears to be in the public's best interest to
enlarge the usual business hours for county offices so that staff
and equipment may be utilized more efficiently and so that the
public could have additional access to county offices,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Croix County Board
of Supervisors, meeting in regular session, that all county
elective and appointive officials shall keep their offices open
Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the individual Department Heads
shall be responsible for the scheduling of their employees so
that each office will be open during the new business hours.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the work hours for all one
person departments and the Highway Department shall be excluded
from the new hours and remain unchanged.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that these new business hours shall
become effective 30 days after passage of this Resolution.
