Resolution # 3 L 80
WHEREAS, presently the Solid Waste Committee of the St.
Croix County Board of Supervisors consists of twelve members; and
WHEREAS, the large composition of this Committee was
necessary because of the major responsibilities of said Committee
in the area of solid waste for St. Croix County; and
WHEREAS, now that the County Board has authorized the
signing of contracts with American Resource Recovery to construct
and operate a solid waste facility to be located near New
Richmond, the need to have a 12 member Committee has been in
large part ended; and
WHEREAS, the Committee recommends to the County Board that
Committee membership be reduced from twelve members to five
members with the following composition:
2 members from the Comprehensive Planning,
Zoning and Parks Committee, appointed by the
County Board Chairman, with approval of the
County Board.
2 members from the Finance, Budget, Building,
and Bond Committee, appointed by the County
Board Chairman, with approval of the County
Board.
1 member of the County Board, to be appointed
by the County Board Chairman.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Croix County Board
of Supervisors, meeting in regular session, that the membership
of the Solid Waste Committee be reduced from twelve to five, with
the new membership to be comprised as follows:
2 members from the Comprehensive Planning,
Zoning and Parks Committee, appointed by the
County Board Chairman, with approval of the
County Board.
2 members from the Finance, Budget, Building,
and Bond Committee, appointed by the County
Board Chairman, with approval of the County
Board.
1 member of the County Board, to be appointed
by the County Board Chairman.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall be
effective upon passage, and shall replace #27 of the Revised
Rules of Standing & Elective Committees of St. Croix County.
