RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE REGISTER OF DEEDS TO
PEI
PROVIDE FREE SEARCHES AND COPIES OF VITAL
RECORDS TO COUNTY AGENCIES
1 WHEREAS, St. Croix County Departments are periodically required to obtain copies of vital
2 records, which include birth, death and marriage certificates, military discharges, domestic partnerships
3 and terminations of domestic partnerships; and

5 WHEREAS, Wisconsin Statutes §69.22(6) permits the Register of Deeds to provide free searches
6 and free copies of vital records to County Departments at the discretion of the County Board.

8 THEREFORE, be it resolved by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors that the Register of
9 Deeds is hereby authorized to provide free searches and free copies of vital records to all St. Croix
10 County Departments.
