WHEREAS, 1987 Wisconsin Act 389, published May 2, 1988,
amends Wisconsin Statutes Section 66.119(1)(a) to permit the
governing body of any county, by Ordinance, to adopt and
authorize the use of a citation to be used for violations of
Ordinances, including Ordinances for which a statutory counter-
part exists; and
WHEREAS, such an Ordinance must be adopted on or after the
effective date of Act 389, which is November 2, 1988; and
WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best interest of St. Croix
County to adopt such an Ordinance,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the St. Croix County Board
of Supervisors, meeting in regular session, that, effective
immediately, all law enforcement officers are authorized to use
citations for violations of Ordinances, including Ordinances for
which a statutory counterpart exists.
