RESOLUTION APPROVING ST. CROZx COUNTY HIGHWAY EMPLOYEES LOCAL 57b, AFSCME

WHEREAS, tree Personnel C~,mmittee of the St.Croix County Board of Super-
visors has been authorized to negoti.~~te labor contracts between the various
county employee uriians and St; . Croix Coi~r~ty ; and

WHEREAS, the said Personnel Co~7}snit tee has negotiated with various emp~.oyee
union representatives during the past several mar~trrs; and
WHEREAS, the said Personnel Camrrittee and one of the employees unions,
ST. CROIX COUNTY HIGHWAY EMPLOYEES LOCAL 57b AFSCME ~~~40
have entered
into a tentative agreement, sub,jer;t to County .Board of Supervisors approval,
NOW THEREFORE, BE 1~'I' RESOLVED by the 5t. Craix County Baard of Supervisors,
meeting in regular sessiur~, that:
1~ The tentative agreement between St. Croix County and the ST C$OIx
COrJNTY HIGHWAY EMPLOYEES LOCAL 576 , AFSCME #~LO
including the amend- . ,
meats to said agreement are hereby approved. Said amendments to the agreement
are attached hereto as Appendix ~ ar~d incorpurat;ed herein by reference as though
set Furth Fully herein.
27 The agreement between ~St. Croix County ar~d the said employees union shall
be ~n effect for the term Jan~.~ary 1, cl~$~1_ through December 31,
,3~ That all resolutions ar parts of resolutions contravening the provisions
of this Resolution are hereby repealed.
~7 That if any part nr parts of this Resolution are invalid, it shall not
invalidate the entire l~esalutian.
5 ~ That .this Resolution shall take ef. fect and be in force fr~am and after its
passage and publication, and all wages and benefits shall be paid in accordance
with said amendments to the agreement retroactive to January 1, 1984

Delete references to law enforcement personnel.
Article 2 Grievance Procedure
Change from 2 to 5 days the response time from the Patrol
Superintendent to employee in grievance matters.
Article 3 Probation No change
Article 4 Seniority No change
Article 5 Job Posting
Delete outdated language dealing with °'grandfathering" employees.
Article b .Hours • I
Add language to indicate that the meal periods will be between - .
the fourth and .fifth hours,- as close to noon as• possible.
Article 7 General Provisions No change
Article 8 Compensation •

Move holiday provisions from Section 8 to Section 2 and
modify to read four ~4} hours off with pay on the last
scheduled work day before Christmas Day and New Years Day. In~~,the, years :1984, _1985,,.: and 198b the.,: County will pay 88~
of any increase in~the premium for health insurance coverage..
