RESOLUTION OPPOSING ADMINSTRATIVE RULES NR 335.01 through NR 335.Ob.
Resolution
WHEREAS, the Department of Natural Resources is proposing a program
whereby municipal and private owners of dams must have a mandatory in-
spection every ten years; and
WHEREAS, such inspection would cast the dam owner, whether municipal
ar private, a base fee of $7~5 for each dam with a structural height of
six feet, and an additional $~0 for each additional foot of structural
height; and
WHEREAS, the Land Conservation Committee for St. Croix Caunty has
studied this proposed Administrative Rule change, and concludes that this
new approach by the Department of Natural Resources would prove to be an
unnecessary expense for a municipal or private dam owner,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Croix County Board of Super-
visors, meeting in regular session, that the Board goes on record as opposing
the proposed Administrative Rules NR 335.41 through NR 335.Ob.
SE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of this resolution be
immediately sent by the County Clerk for St. Croix County to Governor Earl,
all of St. Croix County Legislators, and Mr. Rich Knitter, Department of
Natural Resources, Madison, Wisconsin.
