HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 1984 (15) RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING RAZING OF THE~~.897 BUILDING. Resolution WHEREAS, an Ad Hac Committee was appointed by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors to study various alternatives to the razing of the 1897 Building located at the St. Croix Health Center; and WHEREAS, said Committee has met on numerous occasions with various individuals, committees, and groups regarding such various alternatives, and has reported the progress of such alternatives from time to time to the County Board; and WHEREAS, one alternative, the use of the said 1897 Building for county offices, has also been studied, with said Committee concluding that the expense of remodeling, thought to be $~00-$50Q,000, making such alternative undesirable; and WHEREAS, should the 1887 Building be left standing until some unforeseen alternative would develop, the expense to St. Croix County would be excessive and unnecessary; and WHEREAS, with all alternatives to the razing of the said 1$97 Building being exhausted, the said Ad Hoc Committee recommends to the entire County Board, by a ~ to l vote, that the 1897 Building be razed, NOW TI~EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Croix County Board of r Supervisors, meeting in regular session, that the 1897 Building, located at the St. Croix Health Center, be razed.
