Establishing timetable for new position and wage adjustment requests
WHEREAS the County Board customarily reviews requests for new positions
and non-represented wage adjustments on an annual basis and
WHEREAS the demand for such requests has increased to the extent that
the County Board is reviewing them at several sessions during the year and
WHEREAS for the purposes of good staffing techniques and budgeting
concerns, such requests should be made on an annual basis as part of each
department's long range planning and
WHEREAS each request demands a substantial amount of research and study
time on the part of the Supervising Committee, Finance Committee, Personnel Committee, and related offices
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESO vED by the St. Croix County Board of
Supervisors meeting in ~ session that requests for new positions
- and non-represented wage a justments be limited to an annual submission
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, per instructions issued by the Personnel
Office, all such requests must be submitted to the Personnel Office
by August 1 of the year preceding the anticipated effective date
~i.e. August 1, 1984 submission fora proposed change to take
effect January 1, 1985} and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all requests be reviewed by the Super- vising Committee, Finance Committee, and Personnel Committee per the
format outlined in the St. Croix County Personnel Policies and
Procedures Manual, and submitted to the County Board for final action.
