RESOLUTION REGARDING COUNTY SELF-FUNDED HEALTH INSURANCE PROGRAM,
Resolution ~
WHEREAS, the County presently has aself-funded health insurance program, and
WHEREAS, certain policies and practices which were feasible under the former
program are no .longer in the best f_inan~ial interest of the County, and
WHEREAS, the Finance, Budget, Building and Bond Committee has recently made the
following motions to safeguard the health insurance plan of the County:
1. Moved to deny any further enrollment of the County Board Supervisors, with
the exception of the County Board Chairman and County Board Viee-Chairman ,
2. Nbved to rescind the actian taken at the meeting of November 7, 1953 removing
the exclusion for total 'disability coverage on effective date of ma jor.~_~medical co~rerage
for new employees and to reinstate said exclusion effective May 15, 1984. No employee
or dependent presently covered would be affected by this action.
3. All County Board Supervisors, _~former County Board Supervisors, andlor their
surviving unremarried spouses presently covered by St. Croix County hospitalization
shall b~ allowed to maintain their policies under terms in effect on the date of their
initial coverage.

WHEREAS, the Finance Committee desires that its motions as stated above, be ratified
and affirmed by the entire St . Croix County Board of Supervisors ,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Croix County Board of Su ervisors meeti P ~ ~
in regular session, that the County Board ratifies and affirms the above motions of the
i Finance Committee.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution supersedes all prior resolutions,
motions, and actions affecting the health insurance program of the Count . Y
